Balsamic Blueberry Jam

This Balsamic Blueberry Jam is easy to make, packed full of great blueberry nutrients, and is naturally sweetened from the blueberries and just a bit of pure maple syrup. The perfect homemade jam for your morning breakfast!

  • Add all ingredients except arrowroot powder to medium pot and gradually bring to medium heat, stirring regularly.
  • Once your mixture starts to simmer (usually around 5 minutes), mash the berries in the pot with a potato masher or another utensil of choice. Allow to simmer another 5 minutes.
  • Add arrowroot to the pot and stir to combine.
  • Keep your jam at a simmer (DON'T let it boil), and cook another 10-20 minutes or until it reaches your desired thickness (keep in mind that it will thicken a bit more as it cools). Ideally you want your jam thick enough that when you run a spatula through it, it takes a few seconds for the space to fill back up.
  • Remove from heat and allow to cool at room temp.
