Ingredients

Instructions

  • Add the hot water, matcha powder, vanilla, and maple syrup to a small bowl. Combine using a whisk, a fork, or a frother. The matcha should be fully incorporated into the water so that there are no chunks of powder.
  • Add ice to a cup of your choice and pour the almond milk over the ice. Pour your matcha mixture on top. Stir together and give it a taste. Add more sweetener if desired.

Notes

*Culinary grade matcha powder: there seems to be a lot of debate out there on if culinary grade or ceremonial grade matcha should be used for matcha lattes. I decided to stick to culinary grade for this recipe since it is cheaper! However if you'd like to experiment with ceremonial grade you can - just keep in mind that it will likely be less bitter and therefore you probably won't need to use as much sweetener.
